How Diclofenac + Paracetamol + Serratiopeptidase works

  • Diclofenac belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) NSAIDs work by inhibiting the enzymes cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 and COX-2, which are responsible for producing prostaglandins (PGs) that contribute to inflammation and pain signalling. It is believed that paracetamol primarily works by reducing the production of prostaglandins in the central nervous system (CNS), which are chemicals involved in pain signalling. Additionally, paracetamol may also have a peripheral action by blocking the generation of pain impulses. This peripheral action could result from inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis or blocking the synthesis or actions of other substances that sensitize pain receptors. Moreover, paracetamol exhibits fever reducing effects as well.
  • The anti-inflammatory effects of serratiopeptidase are linked to its ability to break down inflammatory mediators such as bradykinin, histamine, and serotonin. Serratiopeptidase can also alleviate pain by inhibiting the release of pain-inducing substances like bradykinin from inflamed tissues. Furthermore, it reduces swelling by decreasing fluid accumulation in tissues, thinning the fluid, and promoting drainage. The enzyme activity of serratiopeptidase also aids in dissolving dead tissue around injuries, which accelerates the healing process.
