• Etoricoxib + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is available as tablets for oral administration.

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This medicine is meant for adults and adolescents aged 16 years and above.

Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to etoricoxib, paracetamol, or excipients in the formulation, and in patients with active peptic ulceration, gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, severe or active liver disease, severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <30 ml/min), congestive heart failure (NYHA II-IV), uncontrolled hypertension, or established ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, and/or cerebrovascular disease.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with anticoagulants (like warfarin), antiplatelet medications (like aspirin and clopidogrel), diuretics (like furosemide), ACE inhibitors (like lisinopril), lithium, methotrexate, and oral hypoglycaemic agents (like glyburide).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose may cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, drowsiness, dizziness, and potential liver damage. Consult a doctor, should you suspect an overdose.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double-dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience severe side effects or worsening symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• To manage nausea or stomach upset, consider taking this medication with food.
• Drinking plenty of water may help mitigate minor side effects like dizziness or headaches.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This medication may affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Dizziness or sleepiness is possible after taking this medication; avoid such activities until better.
• Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
• Etoricoxib + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen should not be used during the third trimester of pregnancy due to risks related to foetal heart complications and should generally be avoided, unless deemed essential by a doctor. Consult a doctor before starting this medicine during breastfeeding as well.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution should be exercised when using this medicine in patients with mild to moderate liver or kidney impairment and a history of cardiovascular events or at risk of such conditions.
