Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination medication is intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.

Contraindications

• Domperidone + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen + Tramadol is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, acute intoxication with alcohol, hypnotics, centrally acting analgesics, opioids or psychotropic medications, severe respiratory depression, severe bronchial asthma, gastrointestinal obstruction, and raised intracranial pressure.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with CNS depressants (such as diazepam), serotonergic medicines (such as SSRIs like sertraline and SNRIs like venlafaxine), antifungals (including ketoconazole), and opioid medications (like morphine and fentanyl).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose of this combination can lead to severe respiratory depression, extreme drowsiness progressing to stupor or coma, skeletal muscle flaccidity, cold and clammy skin, slow heart rate, and low blood pressure. In such a case, immediate medical attention is needed.

• If you forget to take a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Drinking plenty of water can help manage some side effects like constipation.

• Taking the medication with food can help manage nausea.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Domperidone + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen + Tramadol may affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy, tired, or have problems with your vision after taking this medication.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Domperidone + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen + Tramadol may cause harm to the foetus and is excreted in breast milk. Therefore, it is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation unless advised by a doctor.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with severe hepatic impairment should exercise caution when taking this medicine. Dose adjustment may be necessary. Patients with renal impairment should also take caution as there is an increased risk of adverse reactions. Dose reduction may be required for those with creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min.
