How Ofloxacin + Ornidazole + Itraconazole + Clobetasol works

  • Clobetasol comes into the steroid category. It prevents the synthesis of chemical messengers called prostaglandins, which cause the skin to become red, swollen, and itchy. It temporarily relieves the discomfort.
  • Ofloxacin comes into the quinolone antibiotic category. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This leads to the death of susceptible bacteria.
  • Ornidazole comes into the nitroimidazole antibiotic category. It generates reactive nitrogen species that damage the DNA of anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, leading to cell death.
  • Itraconazole comes into the antifungal category. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death.
