Zostum O 100 Dry Suspension 30ml

Zostum-O 100 Dry Suspension is used for managing the following conditions:

• Mild to moderate bacterial infections

• Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis in children

• Paediatric pneumonia or lung infection

• Pharyngitis, commonly known as a sore throat

• Tonsillitis in children

• Acute sinusitis in the paediatric population

• Skin and soft tissue infections in children

To give Zostum-O 100 Dry Suspension to your child, follow these instructions:

• Reconstitute the suspension using freshly boiled and cooled water up to the ring mark on the bottle. Shake well. Add more water if needed.

• Ensure that the reconstituted suspension is consumed within 7 days of preparation.

• Prior to each use, shake the bottle well.

• The medicine can be given with or without food.

• Consult your doctor for any further instructions.

Zostum-O 100 Dry Suspension is given orally to your child.

Zostum-O 100 Dry Suspension contains Cefditoren (100 mg). Here's how it works:

• Inhibition of Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefditoren inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to and inactivating certain proteins called penicillin-binding proteins. These proteins are crucial for creating peptidoglycan, a key component of the bacterial cell wall.

• Killing Bacteria: By disrupting the formation of the cell wall, Cefditoren kills susceptible bacteria. This helps resolve the infection and alleviate symptoms caused by these bacteria in your child's body.
