Follow these steps while taking Oricitral Syrup:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Measure your dose accurately using the provided measuring cup.

• You can take this medicine with or without food, as per your comfort.

• It's important to keep your fluid intake adequate while on this medication.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Oricitral Syrup contains Disodium Hydrogen Citrate (1.38 g). This component acts on the body in the following ways:

• Metabolization to Bicarbonate: Disodium Hydrogen Citrate transforms into bicarbonate once in your body.

• Increasing Urine pH: By increasing the excretion of free bicarbonate ions, this medicine makes your urine more alkaline.

• Reducing Uric Acid Levels: The increased alkalinity of urine enhances the solubility of uric acid, promoting its excretion and thereby reducing its levels in your body.

• Preventing Urate Crystals: By reducing excess uric acid, this medication helps prevent the formation of urate crystals that can lead to gout and certain types of kidney stones.
