Macmika 500 MG Injection 2 ML contains amikacin (500 mg) as the active ingredient. It works in the human body in the following manner:

• Amikacin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding itself to the 30S ribosomal subunit of the bacteria. This effectively stops the bacteria from multiplying.

• Instead of merely halting bacterial growth, amikacin goes a step further by killing the bacteria altogether. This action is known as bactericidal activity.
