LT-Mac XL Lotion is used for the management of the following conditions:

• Athlete's foot: A fungal infection affecting the skin between the toes and sometimes on the soles of the feet.

• Jock itch: A red, itchy rash in warm, moist areas like the groin and inner thighs.

• Ringworm infection on the body: A common fungal infection affecting various parts of the body.

Here are some guidelines to follow while using LT-Mac XL Lotion:

• Ensure that your skin is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the lotion to the affected area once daily or as directed by your doctor.

• Gently rub it in until it is evenly distributed and absorbed.

• Wash your hands thoroughly after each use to avoid spreading the infection.

• Continue using it for the full duration prescribed, even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence.

LT-Mac XL Lotion is applied topically.

LT-Mac XL Lotion contains luliconazole (1%), which works in the following manner:

• Inhibits Enzyme Lanosterol Demethylase: Luliconazole works by blocking an enzyme called lanosterol demethylase in the fungal cells. This enzyme is crucial for creating ergosterol – a key component in the cell membrane of fungi.

• Increases Permeability of Fungal Cell Membrane: By blocking lanosterol demethylase and thus reducing ergosterol formation, luliconazole increases the permeability of the fungal cell membrane. This causes leakage of cellular contents and impairs cell growth and replication.

• Anti-inflammatory Properties: Apart from its antifungal action, luliconazole has anti-inflammatory properties that help relieve symptoms like redness and itching associated with fungal infections.

• Keep LT-Mac XL Lotion at a temperature below 25°C.

• Store in a tightly closed container to protect from air and moisture.

• Avoid direct exposure to heat and sunlight.

• If you are managing tinea infections with LT-Mac XL Lotion, ensure good personal hygiene. Regularly wash and thoroughly dry your skin, especially the affected areas, to prevent the spread of infection.

• Wear breathable fabrics like cotton, particularly in warmer weather or during physical activity, as fungi thrive in moist and warm environments. This can help prevent the recurrence of fungal infections such as athlete's foot or jock itch.
