Zukanorm 50 Tablet contains Vildagliptin (50 mg), which operates in the body as follows:

• Inhibits DPP-4: Vildagliptin works by blocking an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). This enzyme has a role in controlling blood sugar levels.

• Increases incretin hormones: By inhibiting DPP-4, Vildagliptin increases the levels of incretin hormones like glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). These hormones help regulate insulin production and release from certain cells in your pancreas.
