Zpac 100 MG Injection 1 is used for managing the following conditions:

• Ovarian cancer does respond well to platinum-based chemotherapy or when used as a first-line treatment

• Recurrence of breast cancer within 6 months of chemotherapy or when the cancer has metastasised

• Advanced non-small cell lung cancer, in combination with another medication called carboplatin, when surgery or radiation therapy isn't suitable

• AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma in patients who haven't responded well to prior systemic therapy

Administer Zpac 100 MG Injection 1 as directed below:

• The injection should only be administered under the supervision of a doctor experienced in using cancer chemotherapeutic agents.

• The injection is typically diluted in a suitable parenteral fluid and then administered intravenously throughout 3 to 24 hours.

• Before infusion, you should be premedicated with corticosteroids, diphenhydramine, and H2 antagonists to minimise the risk of severe hypersensitivity reactions.

Zpac 100 MG Injection 1 is administered intravenously.

Zpac 100 MG Injection 1 contains Paclitaxel (100 MG). This active ingredient acts on the body through several mechanisms:

• Microtubule stabilisation: Paclitaxel binds with the protein tubulin inside cells and promotes the assembly of microtubules while preventing their disassembly. Microtubules are essential structures that help cells divide and move.

• Disruption of cell division: By stabilising microtubules and disrupting their normal balance, paclitaxel forms abnormally stable and nonfunctional microtubules. This action prevents cancer cells from successfully dividing.

• Induction of cell death: The disruption of normal cell division ultimately leads to cell death, helping manage the spread of cancer in the body.
