Zerotuss Xp Oral Drops 15ml

Zerotuss XP Drops are used for managing the following conditions in children:

• Chronic bronchitis: A long-term inflammation of the bronchi, causing a productive cough and difficulty breathing.

• Acute bronchitis: Short-term inflammation of the bronchi, typically caused by a viral infection.

• Bronchial asthma: A respiratory condition characterised by episodes of wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing due to inflammation and narrowing of the airways.

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD): A group of lung diseases that block airflow and make it harder to breathe.

• Bronchiectasis: A chronic condition where the walls of the bronchi are thickened from inflammation and infection.

• Pneumonia: An infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs, which may fill with fluid or pus.

• Lower respiratory tract infections: Infections that occur in the trachea, bronchial tubes, and lungs.

• Shake the bottle well before use. This ensures that the active ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the solution.

• Pull out the rubber teat slightly

  to facilitate administration.

• Use the provided dropper to measure out the correct dosage as directed by your child's doctor.

• To make the drops more palatable for your child, you can dilute them with water, milk, fruit juice, or formula.

Zerotuss XP Drops are given orally.

Zerotuss XP Drops contain three active ingredients:

• Levosalbutamol (0.25 mg): As a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist, levosalbutamol relaxes the bronchial smooth muscles in your child's lungs. By doing so, it makes breathing easier for your child and also has some anti-inflammatory properties.

• Ambroxol (7.5 mg): As a mucolytic agent, ambroxol works by decreasing the viscosity of mucus secretions in the respiratory tract. It breaks down complex mucus structures, making it easier for your child to clear mucus through coughing.

• Guaifenesin (12.5 mg): This expectorant stimulates mucus secretion in your child's respiratory tract, increasing the volume and reducing the viscosity of secretions. As a result, mucus becomes thinner and less sticky, promoting its clearance through coughing.

• Store Zerotuss XP Drops below 25°C in a dry, clean place and do not freeze.

• Keep the medicine away from direct heat and sunlight.

• Ensure the bottle is tightly closed when not in use.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. This helps to thin down mucus, making it easier for Zerotuss XP Drops to manage chest congestion and coughing caused by respiratory conditions.

• If your child has bronchial asthma or other respiratory conditions, ensure they are in an environment free from dust, smoke, and other allergens that can aggravate their symptoms.
