Zenoxa Banana Flavour Suspension 100ml

Zenoxa Suspension is used for managing the following conditions:

• Partial seizures in children

• As a standalone therapy for epilepsy

• In combination with other medications as an additional therapy for seizure disorders

Here's how you should give Zenoxa Suspension:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the provided oral syringe to measure the exact dosage recommended by your child's doctor.

• Remember not to use regular household spoons for measuring the medicine.

• You can directly dispense this medicine into your child's mouth or, if preferred, mix it with a small amount of water and have them consume it immediately.

• Always consult your child's doctor for any specific instructions regarding dosage or duration of use.

Zenoxa Suspension is given orally.

Zenoxa Suspension contains oxcarbazepine (300 mg) and works in your child's body in the following ways:

• Blocks sodium channels: Oxcarbazepine works by blocking voltage-sensitive sodium channels in the brain. Sodium channels play a key role in generating and transmitting signals in the brain, including those that can cause seizures.

• Stabilises nerve membranes: By stabilising hyperexcited nerve membranes, oxcarbazepine helps prevent these nerves from generating excessive, abnormal electrical signals.

• Inhibits neuronal firing: Oxcarbazepine inhibits repetitive neuronal firing, reducing the likelihood of a seizure occurring.

• Reduces seizure spread: By reducing the spread of seizure impulses, oxcarbazepine helps prevent a localised seizure from spreading to other parts of the brain.

• Store Zenoxa Suspension at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct light and do not freeze it.

• Always ensure the bottle is sealed tightly after every use.

• Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Use within 7 weeks of first opening the bottle, and dispose of any leftover medicine.

• To support the management of seizures, aim to help your child maintain a regular sleep schedule. Irregular sleep patterns can trigger epileptic episodes, so ensure your child gets enough sleep each night.

• Encourage your child to engage in gentle physical activities like walking or yoga. Regular exercise can help manage stress and improve overall health, which is beneficial for managing epilepsy.

• Ensure your child stays well-hydrated. Drinking plenty of fluids can help manage side effects like dizziness or fatigue that Zenoxa Suspension might cause.
