About Sazo 500 Tablet 15

Sazo 500 mg tablet belongs to a class of medications called anti-inflammatory drugs. Sazo 500 mg tablet is primarily used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It is also sometimes used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune conditions.

Sazo 500 mg tablet works by reducing inflammation in the body. The medication's active ingredient - sulfasalazine is a combination of two components: sulfapyridine and 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA). Sulfapyridine is an antibiotic that works by reducing the number of harmful bacteria in the intestines. 5-ASA is an anti-inflammatory medication that blocks the production of inflammatory chemicals called prostaglandins.

While Sazo 500 mg tablets are safe and effective, they can cause side effects in some patients. These side effects are usually mild and subside on their own as the body responds to the medication.

Patients with certain medical conditions, such as liver or kidney disease, blood disorders, or allergies to sulfa drugs, should talk to their healthcare provider before taking Sazo 500 mg tablets.
