Safiron Syrup is used for:

• Managing iron deficiency anaemia due to a diet lacking in iron

• Addressing anaemia arising from chronic blood loss

• Fulfilling increased iron requirements during pregnancy and breastfeeding

• Combating anaemia caused by disorders that prevent the body from properly absorbing iron

• Assisting with the correct utilisation and absorption of iron, due to the presence of vitamin B complex components

Take Safiron Syrup as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the provided measuring cup to get the correct dose of the syrup.

• Keep the bottle tightly capped after use.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Safiron Syrup is taken orally.

Safiron Syrup is a combination medication that works together in multiple ways:

• Ferrous Ammonium Citrate (160 mg): This component splits up in your gastrointestinal tract into smaller particles called ferrous ions which aid the transport of oxygen in red blood cells.

• Cyanocobalamin (7.5 mcg): Also known as Vitamin B12, it plays a crucial role in DNA synthesis and helps mature red blood cells. A deficiency can lead to a type of anaemia called megaloblastic anaemia.

• Folic Acid (0.5 mg): Like Vitamin B12, folic acid is also vital for DNA synthesis and red blood cell maturation.

• Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (1 mg): Also referred to as Vitamin B6, it aids in creating a component of haemoglobin known as haeme.

• Niacinamide (15 mg): It works as a vasodilator, meaning it widens your blood vessels, improving the microcirculation of blood in your body.

• Store Safiron Syrup at a cool temperature, ideally below 30°C.
