Revlamer 800 Tablet is used for the following:

• Controlling high blood phosphate levels in adults with chronic kidney disease on dialysis.

• Managing hyperphosphatemia associated with kidney disease in dialysis patients.

• Preventing serious bone problems arising from elevated phosphate levels.

• Avoiding calcification of tissues and blood vessels due to high phosphate concentration.

• Lowering serum phosphorus in adults undergoing dialysis treatment.

When taking Revlamer 800 Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water during meals.

• Do not chew, crush or break the tablet.

• If you're unsure about the dosage or frequency, consult your doctor.

• Do not discontinue this medicine without discussing with your doctor first.

Revlamer 800 Tablet contains sevelamer (800 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Phosphate Binding: Sevelamer is a polymeric amine that attaches itself to dietary phosphate in your gut. This binding prevents dietary phosphate from being absorbed into your bloodstream.

• Lowering Blood Phosphate Levels: By preventing the absorption of dietary phosphate, sevelamer effectively reduces the concentration of phosphate in your blood.

• Non-systemic Action: Sevelamer is not absorbed into your system. Instead, it remains within your gastrointestinal tract until it's eliminated from your body unchanged through faeces.
