Pantop D Capsule 15

Pantop-D Capsule is used for the following:

• Management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): This is a condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach, causing irritation.

• Healing peptic ulcers: These are sores that develop on the lining of your stomach, upper small intestine or oesophagus.

• Control of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: A rare condition where one or more tumours form in your pancreas or the upper part of your small intestine, causing excess stomach acid.

Follow these instructions while taking Pantop-D Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the capsule.

• Do not open the capsule before consumption.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Pantop-D Capsule is taken orally.

Pantop-D Capsule comprises two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (10 mg): This component targets dopamine receptors in the gut, thus increasing its movement and reducing nausea. It also strengthens the lower oesophageal sphincter to prevent acid reflux.

• Pantoprazole (20 mg): This ingredient works by permanently blocking the proton pump in your stomach cells responsible for gastric acid secretion. By doing so, it reduces stomach acid production allowing damaged gastrointestinal lining to heal and prevents further damage.

Together, these ingredients work harmoniously to manage symptoms and promote healing of conditions like GERD, peptic ulcers, and other gastrointestinal disorders.

• Store your Pantop-D Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 15 and 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Always ensure that it is out of reach of children and pets.

• Remember to use the medicine before the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• For managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers, avoid spicy, fried, or fatty foods. These can trigger heartburn and aggravate GERD symptoms.

• Regular exercise can help reduce stress, which is often linked to exacerbating GERD and peptic ulcer symptoms. Try incorporating light activities such as walking or yoga into your daily routine.
