Orashield Gel is used for managing the following conditions:

• Relieving discomfort and inflammation related to mouth ulcers

• Assisting in providing temporary relief from toothache

• Managing pain due to dental procedures

• Reducing soreness and pain in the throat

• Helping manage mouth pain associated with conditions like stomatitis and gingivitis

Administering Orashield Gel correctly is straightforward. Here's how you do it:

• Ensure your hands are clean before application.

• Use your finger or a clean cotton swab to apply a small amount of the gel on the affected area.

• Gently massage the gel into the mucosa inside your mouth for better absorption.

• Avoid eating or drinking for at least half an hour after applying the gel to allow it to work effectively.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on usage and frequency.

Orashield Gel is applied topically inside the mouth.

Orashield Gel contains two active ingredients:

• Choline Salicylate (8.7%): As a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), choline salicylate works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins in your body. Prostaglandins are compounds that can cause pain, inflammation, and fever. By reducing prostaglandin production, choline salicylate helps manage pain and inflammation in the affected oral tissues.

• Lidocaine/Lignocaine (2%): Classified as a local anaesthetic, lidocaine works by blocking sodium channels within nerve cell membranes. This action prevents the generation and conduction of nerve impulses leading to a temporary loss of sensation in the area where the gel is applied. This helps relieve pain and discomfort.

• Store Orashield Gel in a cool, dry place with temperatures not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.

• Ensure the tube is firmly closed when not in use.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to use Orashield Gel before its expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Maintain good oral hygiene: Regular brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash can help manage oral conditions for which you're using Orashield Gel.

• Food habits: Avoid spicy, salty, or acidic foods that may irritate your mouth and exacerbate symptoms. Opt for soft, bland foods until your oral condition improves.
