This injection is used to manage the following health conditions:

• Bacterial infections: Monocef 1g Injection is used to effectively manages various bacterial infections in different parts of the body, including the brain, lungs, ears, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, bones, joints, blood, and heart. It helps eliminate the infection and alleviate symptoms.

• Infection prevention: Additionally, this medicine can be used to prevent infections during surgical procedures by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause infections.

Note: Monocef 1g Injection is not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.

To use Monocef 1g Injection:

• Consult your doctor for specific advice on dosage and administration.

• A doctor will inject it directly into a vein or muscle under their supervision.

• Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

• Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment even if you start feeling better.

• If you miss a dose, consult your doctor for further instructions.

• Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, kidney or liver problems, or if you are taking any other medications.

• While taking this medication, avoid consuming alcohol.

• Caution should be exercised during breastfeeding.

• If you experience any rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face and mouth, or difficulty breathing, discontinue the medication immediately and inform your doctor.

Monocef 1g Injection is administered by a doctor or a nurse either as an intravenous infusion or an injection into a vein or muscle.

Monocef 1g Injection contains ceftriaxone as its active ingredient.

• Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria that cause infections in the body.

• Its mechanism of action makes ceftriaxone effective in managing a wide range of bacterial infections.

• Store Monocef 1g Injection below 30°C in a cool and dry place.

• Protect from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Use the product before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to help flush out toxins from your body.

• Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to support your immune system.

• Get enough rest and sleep to allow your body to heal and recover.

• Practise good hygiene, such as washing hands regularly, to prevent the spread of infections.
