Natrise Tablet is used for the following:

• Addressing low sodium levels in the blood, known as hyponatraemia.

• Management of fluid overload related to heart failure.

• Handling sodium imbalance in liver cirrhosis patients.

• Correction of sodium levels in the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH).

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Natrise Tablet is taken orally.

Natrise Tablet contains tolvaptan (30 mg) and works on your body as follows:

• Vasopressin V2-Receptor Antagonism: Tolvaptan is a selective vasopressin V2-receptor antagonist. It blocks the binding and effects of vasopressin at the V2 receptors in your kidney collecting ducts. Vasopressin usually promotes water absorption in the kidneys.

• Aquaresis: By inhibiting vasopressin's action, tolvaptan triggers an increased excretion of water (aquaresis), while preserving sodium in your body. This leads to more urine output, decreased body water, and a rise in serum sodium concentration.

• Store Natrise Tablet at room temperature.

• Keep it in a tightly closed container to prevent exposure to moisture and light.

• Ensure to keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date and ensure the medicine is used before it.
