Mebex Plus 150/100 MG Tablet 2

Mebex Plus Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing infections caused by Roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides)

• Managing infections caused by Pinworms (Enterobius vermicularis)

• Managing infections caused by Hookworms (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus)

• Managing infections caused by Whipworms (Trichuris trichiura)

Here's how to take Mebex Plus Tablet correctly:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• The tablet can also be chewed or crushed if preferred.

• You can take it with or without food, as per your comfort.

• Avoid taking more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without discussing it with your doctor first.

Mebex Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Mebex Plus Tablet contains two active components:

• Mebendazole (150 mg): This ingredient belongs to the benzimidazole class of anthelmintic medicines. It works by selectively binding to specific sites in the worm's body, disrupting vital functions such as cell division and nutrient absorption. As a result, the worm's lifecycle is interrupted leading to its death.

• Pyrantel pamoate (100 mg): Pyrantel pamoate acts as a neuromuscular blocking agent on the worms. It interferes with their nerve transmissions causing prolonged muscle contraction and paralysis, following which the immobilised worms are expelled from your body.

The combined action of these two ingredients helps effectively manage various intestinal worm infections.

• Keep Mebex Plus Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Protect the medicine from light and moisture; store in a dry place.

• Make sure you keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date on the pack before use. Don't use the medicine if it has expired.

• Since Mebex Plus Tablet manages intestinal worm infections, maintain good hygiene to prevent reinfection. Wash your hands often, especially before meals.

• Include foods rich in fibre in your diet. These can help promote bowel movements and may aid in eliminating worms from your body.
