IT-mac 200 Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing fungal infections in various parts of the body
• Alleviating symptoms caused by fungal infections and speeding up the healing process
• Prevention of fungal infections in organ transplant recipients
• Protection against fungal infections for premature babies
• Providing antifungal defence for immunocompromised individuals

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew or crush the capsule.
• Take this medicine with or immediately after a main meal to improve absorption.
• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.
• It is important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

IT-mac 200 Capsule contains itraconazole (200 mg) which acts in the following way:

• Inhibition of ergosterol synthesis: Itraconazole disrupts the production of ergosterol, a key component present in fungal cell membranes.
• Weakening and damaging fungal cells: By inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, itraconazole weakens and damages fungal cell membranes. This leads to leakage of main components from these cells.
• Elimination of fungi: The damage inflicted on fungal cells eventually leads to their death. This effectively clears up the fungal infection and helps manage symptoms associated with it.
