Abendol Plus Syrup is an anti-worm medicine used to treat a variety of parasitic worm illnesses in children, including roundworm and tapeworm infections. It works by paralysing and restricting the worms' ability to absorb the body's energy, causing them to die. Abendol Plus Syrup should be given preferably with a fat-containing food like milk. This will aid in better absorbing the drug. Give the same amount if your child vomits within 30 minutes of consuming Abendol Plus Syrup. If it is time for the following dose, do not double the dose. The length of treatment will be determined by the type of worm your child has. It is usually given in a single dose. To avoid re-infection, your child's doctor may recommend repeating this dose after two weeks. However, depending on the type of infection, you may need to give your child Abendol Plus Syrup for a few days to weeks. In this situation, you must give this medicine for the full number of days indicated, as stopping it too soon may result in re-infection. Some of the typical but transitory adverse effects of Abendol Plus Syrup include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, flatulence, loss of appetite, hair loss, mild fever, and sore throat. This medicine may cause bleeding in some rare circumstances, which is a dangerous side effect. If these side effects persist or become troublesome, or if your child develops bleeding, contact your child's doctor. In patients with kidney illness, Abendol Plus Syrup is safe to use. Abendol Plus Syrup should not be dosed differently. In patients with liver problems, Abendol Plus Syrup should be used with caution. Abendol Plus Syrup dosage may need to be adjusted. Please seek medical advice. While taking Abendol Plus Syrup, if you experience symptoms of jaundice such as yellowing of the eyes and skin, itching, or clay-colored faeces, contact your doctor. Do not be alarmed. Abendol Plus Syrup can be taken as soon as you remember missing a dose. If it's almost time for the next dose, or if your child's doctor has advised it, omit the missed dose. Do not provide a double dose and stick to the dosing plan that has been prescribed.
