Age and Dose Restrictions

Contraindications

• The use of this medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity reactions to benzalkonium chloride, fluorometholone or tobramycin.

• It is also not recommended for patients with viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva like herpes simplex keratitis, vaccinia or varicella.

• Patients with Mycobacterial or fungal infections of the eye should also avoid this medication.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (like ibuprofen and naproxen), other aminoglycosides (such as amikacin) and loop diuretics (like furosemide).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdosing on Benzalkonium Chloride + Fluorometholone + Tobramycin could lead to an increase in side effects such as eye irritation, blurred vision or increased intraocular pressure. If you suspect an overdose, consult your doctor immediately.

• In case you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double up on doses.

Management of Side Effects

• It is advised to consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution should be exercised in patients with glaucoma, corneal thinning, or compromised corneal integrity as Benzalkonium Chloride + Fluorometholone + Tobramycin may exacerbate these conditions.
