Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to brinzolamide or benzalkonium chloride.

• It is also contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sulphonamides and those on high-dose salicylate therapy due to the risk of metabolic acidosis.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with several medications, including other eye drops containing preservatives (such as thimerosal), intraocular pressure-lowering agents (like timolol or bimatoprost), and anti-inflammatory eye drops (such as dexamethasone). These interactions can affect the efficacy and safety of the eye treatments.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• In case you happen to put a few extra drops of this medicine in your eye, do not panic. Rinse your eyes with clean water at room temperature. If any symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor.

• If you miss a dose, put it on as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• For eye discomfort or foreign body sensations in the eyes, rinse your eyes with clean, room-temperature water.

• For headaches, resting or lying in a dark room may help.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Benzalkonium Chloride + Brinzolamide may cause temporary blurred vision after administration. If this occurs, it is advised not to drive or operate machinery until your vision is clear.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• This medication should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment as Brinzolamide and its metabolites are predominantly excreted by the kidneys.
