Valparin Chrono 500 Tablet belongs to the anti-convulsant or anti-epileptic group of drugs. It is a prescription medicine used alone or in combination with other medicines for the management of epilepsy/seizures/fits.

This tablet is also used to treat maniac disorders associated with bipolar disorders in adults as monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in treating patients with different types of seizures, such as complex partial seizures, simple, complex absence seizures, and absent seizures. It is also indicated in the prevention of migraine headaches in adults.

Additionally, sodium valproate modulates voltage-gated sodium channels and inhibits certain enzymes, contributing to its antiepileptic properties. Moreover, it has mood-stabilizing effects, making it useful in the management of bipolar disorder. Pregnancy

Valparin Chrono 500 Tablet is not advisable for use in pregnant women, especially if it is being taken for migraine prevention. Women of childbearing age should employ effective contraception. It is recommended to consult with your doctor before initiating this medication.

Breastfeeding

Kidney

Anti-psychotic medicines like aripiprazole, and quetiapine can enhance the effect of side effects like drowsiness, confusion, and dizziness of this tablet.
Anti-anxiety medicines like alprazolam can have enhanced effects when taken with this tablet.
Anticoagulant medicines like warfarin can have increased effects when taken with this tablet.
Antibiotic medicines like imipenem and meropenem can cause side effects like seizures when taken with this tablet.

Valparin Chrono 500 Tablet can interact with diseases, including:

Depression: This tablet may exacerbate symptoms of depression or increase the risk of suicidal thoughts.
