Nucort M4 Tablet 10

Nucort-M4 Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Rheumatic disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis
• Severe allergic conditions such as bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, drug hypersensitivity reactions and urticaria
• Skin disorders like pemphigus, bullous dermatitis, and exfoliative dermatitis
• Inflammatory eye conditions like optic neuritis and uveitis
• Aspiration pneumonitis
• Blood disorders including idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and hemolytic anemia
• Certain cancers such as leukaemia and lymphoma for palliative management
• Endocrine disorders like primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency
• Digestive diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease
• Multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases
• Tuberculous meningitis

• Disperse one tablet in a teaspoonful of water immediately before taking it.
• Do not chew or crush the tablet.
• You should take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor.
• Remember not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Nucort-M4 Tablet is taken orally.

Nucort-M4 Tablet contains methylprednisolone (4 mg) which works in your body in the following ways:

• Enters cells: Methylprednisolone enters your body's cells and binds to specific receptors.
• Regulates gene transcription: The methylprednisolone-receptor complex then enters the nucleus of your cells where it helps regulate the transcription of various genes.
• Inhibits inflammatory response: This process results in a reduction of leukocyte infiltration at the site of inflammation, interference with the function of mediators of inflammatory response, and suppression of humoral immune responses.
• Controls biosynthesis: The anti-inflammatory actions of methylprednisolone involve control of the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation like prostaglandins and leukotrienes through inhibitory proteins called lipocortins.

• Store Nucort-M4 Tablet in a cool, dry place.
• Protect it from light to maintain its effectiveness.
• Keep it away from children to prevent accidental consumption.
• Always check the expiry date before taking this medicine.

• If you're managing conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or gout with Nucort-M4 Tablet, try to include plenty of omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. Foods like fish, walnuts, and flaxseeds are good sources.
• For skin disorders like pemphigus and dermatitis, avoid excessive sun exposure. Always apply a high SPF sunscreen when going outside during peak sunlight hours.
