Nikoran I.V.-48 Injection is used for the following:

• Preventing attacks of angina

• Managing stable angina not controlled by other medications

• Helping manage unstable angina under a doctor's supervision

Administer Nikoran I.V.-48 Injection as follows:

• A qualified doctor should administer this medicine in a clinical setting with adequate monitoring facilities. Self-administration is not advised.

• The dose and rate of infusion will be determined by your doctor based on your condition and response to treatment.

• The injection may continue for 24 to 48 hours, followed by a transition to oral nicorandil as instructed by your doctor.

• Nitrate-like Effect: Nicorandil induces a nitrate-like effect that leads to an increase in intracellular cyclic GMP. This process results in both venous and arterial dilation.

These dual actions contribute to reducing both preload and afterload on the heart and improving coronary blood flow. This helps manage angina by improving oxygen delivery to the heart muscle without significantly impacting heart rate or cardiac conduction.

• After opening, any unused portion should be discarded right away.
