Gate P Eye Drops are a combination medicine with the following active ingredients: 

• Gatifloxacin (0.3 % w/v): Gatifloxacin, the antibiotic component, blocks enzymes known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are crucial for bacterial replication. By blocking them, gatifloxacin halts bacterial DNA synthesis, disrupting their replication and eliminating the infection-causing bacteria.
• Prednisolone (1 % w/v): Prednisolone, the corticosteroid component, functions by suppressing inflammation. It achieves this by binding to specific receptors in cells called glucocorticoid receptors. This action reduces the production of substances that cause inflammation, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, ultimately decreasing redness, swelling, and discomfort in the eye.
