How Fepot Syrup 200 ML Works?
Fepot Syrup is a haematinic syrup which contains Sodium feredetate, Cyanocobalamin and Folic acid. Sodium feredetate is made up of iron that has been mixed with a chemical called EDTA. This is not an iron salt, but rather a unionised form of iron. In the intestines, sodium feredetate degrades and releases iron, which is then absorbed by the body. Iron supplements containing iron salts, such as ferrous sulphate, are less likely to produce stomach disturbances or discolour teeth than unionised iron.
Folic acid is required for a variety of biological activities, including nucleotide production and homocysteine remethylation. During periods of fast cell division and expansion, it is extremely critical. Folic acid is required for the production of healthy red blood cells and the prevention of anaemia in both children and adults.
