Vilpower M500 Tablet 10

Vilpower-M500 Tablet is used for the following:

• Improving blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes

• Managing diabetes when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate control

• Combining metformin and vildagliptin therapy in patients already receiving these two medicines separately

• Preventing severe complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, and limb amputation

• Reducing the risk of heart attack or stroke by managing diabetes effectively

• Managing sexual dysfunction linked to uncontrolled diabetes

Follow these instructions while taking Vilpower-M500 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing or breaking the tablet.

• Make sure to take your medicine regularly at the same time each day for best results.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Vilpower-M500 Tablet is taken orally.

Vilpower-M500 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide antidiabetic, metformin decreases glucose production by the liver and reduces intestinal absorption of glucose. It also improves insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation.

• Vildagliptin (50 mg): As a DPP 4 inhibitor, vildagliptin works by increasing the levels of active incretin hormones (GLP 1 and GIP). These hormones help your body produce more insulin when blood sugar levels are high, especially after a meal. Vildagliptin also reduces the amount of sugar produced by your liver.

• Keep Vilpower-M500 Tablet stored below 25°C in a dry spot.

• The medicine should not be exposed to direct light.

• Maintain your medication in its original packaging to shield it from moisture.

• Always keep Vilpower-M500 Tablet out of reach of children.

• Use this medicine before its expiry date.

• Increase your intake of highfibre foods such as wholegrain bread and cereals, fruits, and vegetables. These can slow the absorption of sugar into your bloodstream and prevent your blood glucose levels from rising too quickly after you've eaten.

• Regular physical activity helps keep your blood glucose levels in control. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderateintensity activity, like brisk walking or cycling, every week.
