Pentate DSR Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease, reducing heartburn and acid reflux symptoms.

• Assisting in healing of peptic ulcers in the stomach and duodenum.

• Providing relief from indigestion symptoms like bloating, stomach discomfort and feeling of fullness.

• Preventing nausea and vomiting by blocking the brain's vomiting centre and promoting stomach contents movement.

Here's how you should take Pentate DSR Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Make sure not to crush or chew the capsule as it may hamper the extended-release properties of the medicine.

• Always take this medicine 30 minutes before breakfast as recommended by your doctor.

Pentate DSR Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (30 mg): This component blocks dopamine D2 receptors in a certain area of the brain known as the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ), helping to prevent feelings of nausea and vomiting. Additionally, it works on peripheral dopamine receptors in your digestive system to increase peristalsis rhythmic contractions that move food through your intestines thereby speeding up gastric emptying.

• Pantoprazole (40 mg): This ingredient acts by irreversibly blocking proton pumps (H+/K+ ATPase) in gastric parietal cells cells in the lining of your stomach. This action inhibits the final step of acid production in your stomach, resulting in a decrease in stomach acidity levels and an increase in stomach pH.
