How Palbociclib works

By inhibiting their action, Palbociclib slows down the rapid cell division seen in cancer cells, thereby slowing the growth of tumours. Palbociclib has also been found to inhibit a cellular process called Rb phosphorylation, which is another critical process involved in allowing cells to progress from one stage of cell division to the next. Ultimately, through these actions, Palbociclib helps in managing the spread and progression of certain types of advanced or metastatic breast cancers.
