• This medicine is recommended for use in adults and children above 12 years of age.

Contraindications

• Azelastine + Mometasone is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
• It is also contraindicated in patients who have untreated fungal, bacterial, or tuberculous infections in their respiratory tract.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with other nasal corticosteroids (such as fluticasone), antihistamines (like cetirizine), and decongestants (such as oxymetazoline). These interactions can increase the risk of local irritation, dryness, or potential systemic absorption of corticosteroids, leading to side effects like nasal dryness or discomfort.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• There is no specific experience of overdose with Azelastine + Mometasone. However, chronic overdosage may result in signs and symptoms of hypercorticism (Cushing's syndrome). If such changes occur, discontinue the medication gradually under medical supervision.
• If you forget to administer this medicine, do so as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.

Management of Side Effects

• Drinking plenty of water can help manage side effects like dry mouth or throat irritation.

• There are no adequate studies in pregnant women. Azelastine + Mometasone should only be used during pregnancy or lactation if the potential benefits justify the potential risks to the fetus or infant. Consult your doctor before using this medicine in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with a history of glaucoma or cataracts should be closely monitored while using Azelastine + Mometasone as corticosteroids may increase the risk of these conditions.
