How Arformoterol works

  • Arformoterol is a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) used to manage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.

  • It works by relaxing the muscles around the airways, which helps to open them up and make breathing easier. It provides long-term control of symptoms and is usually taken via inhalation.

Overdose and Missed Dose

  • An overdose of Arformoterol may lead to exaggerated beta-adrenergic effects, such as tachycardia, hypertension, hypokalemia, hyperglycemia, and tremor. Treatment consists of discontinuing Arformoterol along with appropriate symptomatic and supportive therapy.

  • If you miss a dose of Arformoterol, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.
