Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Amisulpride can lead to symptoms like drowsiness, sedation, coma, low blood pressure, and movement disorders. If you observe these symptoms, inform your doctor and follow their advice.

• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. You should not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• If you experience symptoms like dry mouth, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.

• Amisulpride may affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. It is advisable to avoid these activities if you feel dizzy or sleepy after taking this medicine.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• The use of Amisulpride during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended unless your doctor thinks it is necessary. Always consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• If you have kidney or liver problems or cardiovascular diseases, you should exercise caution when taking Amisulpride. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage accordingly.

• Those who are taking medicines known as levodopa or dopamine agonists, those with a rare tumour of the adrenal gland known as pheochromocytoma or a tumour of the pituitary gland that produces prolactin (prolactinoma), and those with heart diseases, seizures, or problems with the kidney or liver should take this medicine with caution.
