• Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Salbutamol is available to be taken orally (syrup and tablets).

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This medicine can be given to adults and children above 6 years of age.

Contraindications

• This medication should not be used by patients with active peptic ulcer disease, convulsive disorders (a type of epilepsy), hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (a condition in which the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick), or tachyarrhythmia (a condition in which the abnormal heart rate that's faster than normal).

Other Medications to Avoid

• Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Salbutamol can interact with other respiratory medicines (e.g., aminophylline, theophylline), Parkinson's disease medication (e.g., rasagiline, selegiline), fluid retention medicines (e.g., bumetanide, furosemide) and corticosteroids (e.g., betamethasone, prednisolone), antihypertensives, antidepressants, antibiotics (sulfamethoxazole, linezolid), and medicines used for the management of heart failure (digoxin). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Salbutamol.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Salbutamol may result in nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache or tremors. Immediate medical attention should be sought in case of overdose.
• If you forget to take your dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Drinking plenty of water may help manage dry mouth or throat.
• Resting and avoiding strenuous physical activity may help manage dizziness or restlessness.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Salbutamol may cause dizziness or restlessness which can affect the ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Avoid these activities if you experience these side effects after taking the medicine.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Salbutamol should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorders, seizures, or enlarged prostate gland should use Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Salbutamol with caution.
